Soft 3D effects for comfortable fabrics
The Würker 3D embroidery foam in White, density 38D, is an EVA foam for raised, three-dimensional embroidery motifs. The softer variant suits fabrics where wearing comfort matters alongside the 3D effect – for example sweatshirts or polo shirts with light-coloured thread.
Benefits in practice
With 38D, the foam stays comfortable to wear even on lighter fabrics instead of feeling stiff. For a stronger 3D effect, several layers can be combined. During stitching, the needle perforates the foam along the dense satin stitches; excess material is simply removed afterwards. As with EVA foam in general, care should take the textile, thread and foam together into account – the manufacturer's care instructions for the respective textile remain decisive.
Format and hoop compatibility
The 280 × 280 mm format covers commonly used hoop sizes up to about 10″ x 10″, such as Mighty Hoop, and can be used in many applications without prior cutting.
