Embroidered Butterfly with LED Wire This stunning prototype showcases the possibilities for integrating illumination into textiles using embroidery. It is achieved by combining the W-head for Tailored Wire Placement (TWP) of LED wire and the F-head for decoration. The LED wire features tiny, yet bright LEDs spaced at a 10 mm pitch. Thanks to its high energy efficiency, a single CR2032 coin cell battery is sufficient to power the sample for days. The battery is conveniently included in the package. ‘Pinch me’   Introducing 'Pinch Me', a fun and innovative demonstrator that showcases the power of technical embroidery and electronics integration. With two embroidered control elements and two PCBs, this sample was produced fully automatically using a ZSK embroidery machine, without any need for operator intervention. The PCBs were expertly placed and fixed using ZSK’s PCB Laying Device, while the connections between the PCBs and the control elements were embroidered with conductive thread. Pinch one or both control elements and the four RGB LEDs light up in the corresponding color. It's a simple yet effective way to experience the automated and reliable integration of electronics via embroidery. Capacitive Touch Demo   Our Capacitive Touch Demo is a demonstration model that shows different integration possibilities of embroidered touch sensors. It shows a combination of different cover materials as well as uncovered sensors in one design. Find out more about how the demonstrator works in this video. Our 'Capacitive Touch Demo' consists of four embroidered touch sensors, four ZSK LED sequins, and a ZSK E-Tex board . Touching a sensor turns the corresponding LED on and off. The demonstrator is powered via the supplied USB cable. Four cover pads made of different materials - fabric, padded leather, wood, and acrylic glass - are also included. Embroidered Piano   Ever played music on a piece of fabric? The Embroidered Piano makes this possible. The piano features eight keys that are embroidered with conductive thread, which are then connected to an Adafruit Circuit Playground board. Simply touch a key with your finger, and the Adafruit board will play the corresponding musical tone through its onboard mini speaker, while also flashing LEDs in a matching color. You can see how this demonstrator works in action in this video. The piano keys and the conductive paths which connect them to the circuit board are embroidered fully automatically by a ZSK embroidery machine. The paths are then covered with non-conductive embroidery thread for protection against mechanical stress and to enhance the overall design with color matching the fabric. Enlightened Smiley   Back from the 80s - our Enlightened Smiley - real eye-catcher among the Smarties. Our smiley is not only easy to make, but also brings color and joy into life with its glowing LED eyes!   Two ZSK LED sequins are placed and connected with conductive yarn. Afterwards, the LED sequins and the conductive paths are hidden by decorative embroidery, so that only the small LEDs are visible. The smiley is powered by the coin cell supplied in the battery holder, which is connected via two snap buttons in the foot area.
